So... i haven't had the best of luck with this fish but i love the look of it. I just ordered one and will receive it tomorrow. the specimen is 6 inches and is indonesian. From what i saw online it looked Fat and healthy. I'm going to qt him, but any advice you have would be appreciated...

What have been the problems that you have had with keeping them alive?

In general the Aust HTusk do better than the Indo HTusk. They're move active, eat a lot better, and seem to be in better overall condition, which probably comes from the way they're collected.

As for the fish, you should supply it with a meaty diet, things like like pieces of shrimp, squid, and small fish. They need a good size tank with plenty of places to hide and for the most part tank mates that aren't overall aggressive. They usually need a little time to settle in, especially the Indo ones.
