depends on price, it's a good choice. I made/sold this type of light in the old days before i get in involved with MR. Many Californians order them. I wonder what do they grow there. Do they have that many corals or sea.....weed to grow? Some web sites told me that they sold more of these than the MH.
The key to use these bulbs is to put them as close to your stuff as possible. Of course, the light have to cover the whole area you grow your stuff.
$40-50 would be an acceptable price and make sure it's around 12W each bulb. These generally have higher PAR per watt than the flexible strip(in fact horizontally flexible strips may have the lowest PAR/watt in the family) and lower than the Power LEDs.
