Light in Sump

Hello all, I am wondering if i need a light over my Live rock in my sump. I have a refug light over me Cheeto on the right side but I have no light over my live rock on the left.

By not having a light over the rock does that hurt me, help me etc. ?!?

The only thing you would gain from having light over the rock is coraline algae. If all you want the rock for is bacteria, then you don't need a light over it.
