mushrooms

since i started in this wonderful hobby, the first coral i bought
were green mushrooms , i have them for almost a year now but they dont grow or spread.
anyone have any ideas?

Yea. Dont ask for something you are going to regret.

Evidently the mushroom is not excited about the parameters of your tank. You will find that some corals will take off and others just sit there. And the same goes for other critters in your tank. But as others have said, they can become like weeds and then you have the opposite problem.

I keep mine in the shade so they won't spread out of control.

i would also say it's your water parameters. i have babys shrooms popping up all the time.

Lol I remember when I got my first green mushrooms 2 years ago. PITA for sure people tend to give them away after having an established reef for a while because of the chemicals they release.
