Ok cool, sounds like enough light on them.
Since the color is missing it looks like it ejected the beneficial algae so feeding is really important. Cut some small pieces of fresh scallop or shrimp held so the tentacles can take it. Some really long tweezers are great for this. There is a vitamin supplement called Selcon that is really good.
These need some help as nems are not really good at recovering.

Ok i was able to feed the big anemone today. The smaller one was a chanllenge and I couldn't get the food to him due to his spot behind the rock.

I also purchased a phosphate kit (API. Couldn't find the salifert kit). Reading 0.25ppm
Will retest tomorrow morning to confirm.

I am using RO/DI water.
I am not running GFO. I don't have space under my cabinet.
HMM need a stragedy.

Any other way I can remove phosphates?
So I'm guessing .25ppm is way too high.
The kit's range is 0-.25 - .5 - 1.0 - 2.0 - 5.0 - 10.0

I'm in the 0 - .25ppm range.
This kit blows imo.

Rinse any frozen food you add.
There are phosphate pads you can use in a sump.
Phosphate test kits are not entirely accurate. My salifert kit cannot detect it in my tank but I'm sure it's there.
Try adding some kind of sponge and see if they pick up.

Anemone has moved from the sand onto the rock he was purchased with.
This might be a good sign. We will see.
Little anemone is still hanging out under the rock.
My crab anemone has just started hosting him.
The crab was previously hosting the larger anemone.

Can the anemone recover his color. Or is he bleached for life?
Either way I still like him in my tank. I hope he survives.:thrash:

Be patient, it will take a while for them to regain their color. In the meantime, stay on top of your water parameters :)

Update: The big anemone is officially on the rock. He is being hosted by two clown fish I picked up from maximum reef's on wednesday. Super happy that both of them are hosting it. :biggrinpa

The smaller anemone is still hiding under the rock with the anemone crab still hosting him.

I have been able to feed both of them a few times now. :cool3:

Is three feedings per week enough? Or should I feed them daily since they have lost their color?

Thanks again guys.
