question about new cycle

I started the cycle yesterday. I added 50 pounds of LR. So far all my testing PH, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate levels are normal. I thought since it would be a new cycle with new LR, every level would be off. Am I doing something wrong?

Throw in a pinch of fish food and let it sit for a few days. The cycle takes time to start.
