This month's meeting will be hosted by Discovery Place in their 3D Theater, during normal museum hours. Discovery Place is providing the space for free, with the caveat this month that everyone who attends the presentations will need to purchase museum admission. We will be having a few meetings like this each year when we have multiple presenters or large events and Discovery Place agrees to provide the space for free use for a public event.

This is one of the meetings during the year where members and non-members alike are able to attend. Our standard rule is that non-members can attend one meeting before joining RASOC. On other occasions when we have had a single presenter, we have charged non-members $5-10. This large presentation allows more people to attend the event, and hopefully they will choose to join RASOC after the meeting. It is also a way to attract members from other clubs.

Make a day of it! Bring the family, see the presentations and tour the museum.

Following the meeting, outside of admissions, we will raffle off corals provided by Atlantis Marine World to offset the costs of hosting multiple speakers. As such, we will not have an official frag swap this month. But bring your money to purchase chances to win corals shown in the presentation.

General admission for adults to Discovery Place is $12, or annual family memberships are available for $90. In the future we may be able to negotiate reduced rates, but this is the current pricing for everyone. http://www.discoveryplace.org/visit/ has more information on the museum.
