Zoas crapping???

Hey guys & gals........ I have a small frag of armor of god I think they called, well I was looking at them and notice a small string that I tought somebody thru in there..... But when I look closer it's coming from like the eye of the zoa and they where all doing it at the same time.
Does anybody know what is it????

Even tho they let that thing out they look good ....well at least for now.lol
I'll keep an eye on them and see what happens .

Mine do the same thing about once a month or so. They may close up a little but other than that they should be just fine.

They'll be fine, not uncommon for a zoanthid to do this.
...and btw - that is a mouth, not an eye

My zoas did this also couple days ago, for a day only, 3 weeks into my cube and it seems like they were still adapting, but after they did this they look happier

Yeah there was some that I haven't seen open until now.
@kathyc i didn't know if to call them eyes,mouth,or where the number 2 comes out lol. Wait then that means they were crying 0_o

lol, like many other corals (think anemones) the mouth and anus are the same orifice...ewww...as long as they are of with it I guess...

Totally normal.

Mine do same thing all the time. Amazingly all of them do it at the same time (over 200 polyps).

Yeah I almost freaked out on my kids , thinking they threw something in there lol. A year and a half and I never seen anything like that 0_o
But they seem to look good still.
