This type of “aquatic high-rise” concept is nothing new.  People have installed similar above-water water columns in aquariums and ponds for years, as we’ve written about. But in terms of artistic merit, the glass-blown organic design of the Echappée is heads and shoulders above conventional rectangles.  Just don’t draw the short straw when it comes to deciding who cleans the algae off the glass.
