Incredible swimming pond!

My dream backyard would have something like this.

The rectangular swimming area measures 26 (L) x6 (W) x5 (D) feet.  The pool spills out into an irregularly shaped shallow pond that is lined with river stone, driftwood, and live semi-aquatic plants, creating an gorgeous, natural, serene surrounding.

To make sure the fish happy, the water if chlorine-free.  What keeps the algae at bay is a four stage substrate+foam filtration system, a UV sterilizer, and eco-friendly/non-toxic anti-algae chemicals (likely an enzymatic cleaner).  An army of plecos would be an awesome addition, if needed.

Reddit user VonBubenberg posted images of his (then) newly constructed swimming pond back in 2014.  We know we’re a little late to the party, but this swimming pond is way too awesome to not share now.

Here are some progression photos for the construction of the swimming pond.  All images are by VonBunbenberg.  More photos and descriptions of the pond’s construction are available at VonBunbenberg’s imgur album.  It’s really amazing to see how a patch of dead grass transformed into a picturesque aquatic oasis.
