Interzoo is undoubtedly the premier event for pet enthusiasts. The expo kicks off on Monday, so let’s see what we know so far.

Interzoo takes place in Nuremberg, Germany, from May 7th to 10th, with dates earlier than usual and exclusively reserved for industry professionals. Once again, the expo maintains its exclusive focus on industry stakeholders and runs from Tuesday to Friday. While this format might need tweaking in future editions, we’ll delve into that in our post-expo analysis.

As we’re well aware, Interzoo can make or break companies. In the year leading up to the expo, businesses prepare their game-changing products. Missing out could significantly impact a company’s trajectory, serving as a litmus test for its health.

We’ll be there, departing from Rimini with a minibus to Nuremberg (900 km) for the expo on May 7th, 8th, and 9th. This year, we’re opting for the old-school van ride, so if anyone wants to join us, let us know!

As you can see, the companies present have returned with interesting numbers, although many industry leaders are missing. There’s a significant presence of Chinese and other Asian companies, but since we don’t have specific knowledge about them, we didn’t include them to avoid confusion. De Jong MarineLife, Tunze, Nyos, GHL, AquaFlora, Eheim, and Prodibio are among those showing excellent returns. However, notable absences this year include Abyzz, Aquabee, Aquarium Systems, Aquaroche, CaribSea, D-D, Ecotech Marine, Giesemann, JBL, Kessil, Pacific Sun, Philips, Preis, Red Sea, Rowa, Royal Exclusiv, Salifert, Twinstar, and Whitecorals, in addition to ATI, Korallen Zucht, Grotech, Zetlight, Orphek, and RLSS.
