The stunning Banana Sea Slug is a large Dorid nudibranch that is nearly impossible to keep in captivity. It is reported to eat Leucetta primigenia, but acquiring this sponge and properly identifying it is not possible for the vast majority of hobbyists. Please don’t buy these animals with the intention of rescuing them. This will encourage the retailer to stock more. If you find one as a hitchhiker, its best chance of success is if you donate it to someone with a very large aquarium with heavy sponge growth.
