According to a recent article over at Life Scientist, sequencing of the genome for Acropora millepora has been completed by the ARC Center for Excellence for Coral Reef Studies in AU.  This is a major milestone in our understanding of coral biology and reproduction, and also has some importance to our own genetic studies as it was revealed last year that humans share a very large amount of genetic similarity with our cnidarian friends.
