Let’s talk fish! – Court Jester Goby from Biota Aquariums

by | Aug 13, 2024 | Aquaculture | 0 comments

For this video, we went to go visit our friends at Biota Aquariums to talk about one of the most underrated utility fish in our hobby – the Court Jester Goby. For so many years in the hobby, I have been hearing about this fish. Some true, some false, I relatively stayed away from it because I felt that from my personal experience and from observing from others, it didn’t last as long as I expected to and felt that they wasted away in our tanks due to our inability to provide for its specific needs. (I assumed it was dietary needs that we didn’t know about)

When Biota started breeding these, it piqued my interest so I got together with my friend Jake Phillips, general manager of the Fort Lauderdale facility, to learn more about this cool fish and see if they unlocked the key to long-term captive survival. Check out the video and learn about this cool, amazing fish and comment down below if you are going to try them out or if you have one in your system already.

Thanks for watching!
