This year, MASNA recognized and honored Dr. Craig Bingman with the MASNA Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr Bingman, one of all time greats that has contributed so much to this amazing hobby, is someone that you may never have heard of, unless you have attended MACNA – Marine Aquarium Conference of North America,  to see him speak. I wanted to change this, and introduce you to him to acknowledge and honor a great man that has contributed so much to help many of us (the majority of us regular hobbyists) transition from barely keeping corals alive to successfully helping corals thrive in our system. This is a man behind the scenes that helped to put the science and actual number values to our anecdotal world.

For this interview, I sat with Dr. Bingman to talk about his beginnings, what made him decide to join the aquarium world, how he got involved in chemistry and mixing both chemistry and the aquarium world, and his work over the years.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the 2019 MASNA Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Dr. Craig Bingman!

Really well deserved and in my opinion, well overdue. Congrats to you again Craig, and thank you for putting up with me for the last few years!
