Tank of the Season

By Randy Donowitzfts-a2Full tank shot as of August, 2008.Some SpecificsSetup: 8/06 though all the rock and many of the animals are far older Tank: 240g .(8′ x 2′ x 2′) Glass Cages tank with low iron glass, 75g. sump Lighting: 4x 250W Ushio 14K DE lamps in Luminarc mini (2 center lamps) and Icecap (two ends) pendants driven by Icecap electronic ballasts. Filtration: skimmerless with large Chaetomorpha chamber, carbon run 24/7 Sand: 2-3″ ESV coarse and fine mixture Circulation: Sequence Dart return pump and 3 Vortechs Additives: ESV B-Ionic, occasional additions of Iodine, Strontium, Iron, Manganese and Magnesium Corals: Over 40 Acropora species, Over 10 Montipora species, and a variety of other stony coral species including Acanthastrea, Blastomussa, Cyphastrea, Echinophyllia,Echinopora, Euphyllia, Favia, Fungia, Goniopora, Leptoseris, Lobophyllia,Pachyseris, Pavona, Psammacora, Seriatopora , Stylococcinella, Stylophora, and Turbinaria.
