Our blasto kick continues this weeks as we feature another knockout coral, this one from Exotic Reef Creations. This pink and yellow Blastomussa, which we found on found on Reef2Reef, meets all of the requirements to be a killer piece. It sports a vibrant yellow body with an awesome pink outer ring. To add to the vibrancy of the coral, the blasto’s mouth is neon green with green lines radiating away from the center by gmavrakis | Jan 6, 2015 | Corals, Fish, Opinion, Science
My FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/coralfish12g In this coralfish12g video I am going to be talking about the great Zoanthid debate. There are always fads in the hobby and right now one of the biggest is the selling, trading, buying, and collecting of rare Zoanthids. Some people are sick of other hobbyists creating rare sounding names to match barely different color variations. They don’t understand this craze for Zoas with special names. Others love that aspect of Zoanthids becoming collectors who can sell them to create additional revenue from their reef aquariums. So what do YOU think about this debate? by gmavrakis | Dec 22, 2014 | Fish, Funny, Opinion, Science
My FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/coralfish12g After spending years exploring the hobby through the Internet it is pretty hard to avoid the reef aquarium “know it all’s” and the hobby is home to plenty of jokesters. So, I took to social media and the Internet to find the best and funniest reef aquarium memes. Here is the best collection of reef aquarium silliness you may ever see. Here is part two of hopefully a three part montage of awesome corals with which to fill your Friday. It is one sick monti from Aqua SD called the ASD Phoenix Suns Montipora. If you follow professional basketball at all, then you’d instantly be able to associated this lovely coral with the rather bright logo and team colors of the Phoenix Suns. Where the basketball team has more of a purple and yellow, the monti counterpart sports more of a vibrant pink and yellow, with blue polyps that dot the landscape. What is most catching about this piece, at least in our opinions, is the utter intensity of the colors. These are really bright colors that would make this coral a showstopper in any tank by Matthew Stansbery | Dec 10, 2014 | Fish, Opinion, Science
A mystery is unfolding on the shores of Ardrossan, Australia where a pod of seven Sperm Whales was found beached this Monday.
