Reef Medicine Series : All About the Proper Acclimation of Fish

by | Jun 5, 2018 | Fish, Video | 0 comments

For this video, I got together with Dr. Charlie Gregory of Healthy Aquatics Marine Institute in Boynton Beach, Florida to talk about an often-overlooked but extremely important aspect of fish keeping:

Acclimation.

To demonstrate, I hand picked and shipped a finicky fish (which happens to be one of the fish on my must get list) from Carolina Aquatics to acclimate and quarantine, observing what this highly qualified veterinarian does to properly acclimate and therefore lessen the stress of a new fish. You can see all the dos and don’ts, compare notes, and possibly integrate some of his tips into your acclimation procedure.

Enjoy!
