Reefs and Art: Post Modern Cephalopoda

by | Sep 6, 2011 | Cephalopods, Reefs in Art | 0 comments

Cephalopods are well known for their famous family members, the octopus and squid.  But those two critters are just one corner of the class, the rest being populated with snails, nautiluses and many others.  This coffee table concept is essentially a horizontally placed argonaut (paper nautilus) or the commonly found ancestor, ammonites.  Rendered by Svilen Gamolov, this coffee table would impress both reefers and landlubbers alike with its opposing themes of modern sharpness and ancient evolutionary patterns.
