Rossmont made its first public appearance at Interzoo of Nuremberg, and judging by the number of people who continuously crowded the booth, it was a great first time!
Currently, Rossmont offers a variety of stream pumps, with models from 3400 L/h (= 900gph US models) to 15200 L/h (= 4100gph US models), all AC powered, and a few months ago it introduced the Rossmont Waver (our preview here), an advanced wireless controller that allows users to adjust the flow rate of the pumps exactly as if they were DC powered.
This solution has the great advantage of allowing people use their own pumps (without the need of a DC one), by buying the controller only. Furthermore, as we learned from the Rossmont staff, other new modules will soon be released; they will be able to interact with the Waver as well as control many accessories that will be coming out in the near future, starting from return pumps, to skimmer pumps (which are also indicated on the back of Waver’s box), to the use of test devices (pH? Redox? Density?), lamps, multisockets, and much more.
At Interzoo, the Rossmont booth was completely dedicated to Waver– its control and the stream pumps in action in their tank.
We’re testing a black Waver, but we also love the look of the white one, which would be coordinate nicely with light-colored or white furniture.
It was really fascinating to see both controllers on two different sides of the same tank, one completely white and one completely black.
The screen pictured above shows the web interface, and you could see two curves, one blue and the other yellow, which indicate the flow rate of the two connected pumps. In addition, the blue and the red bands indicate the presets (additional effects) inserted in those precise hours.
The company is very smart to invest in this unique, scalable, immediately-ready interface, which is compatible with nearly any device – a PC, a Mac, a smartphone, a tablet. Immediately ready and powerful… adjustable with your fingers or mouse.
Above, we see one of the pumps in action, controlled by Waver. We have already tested two pumps here on DaniReef, the Mover M5800 (= M1500 US version) and the Mover MX15200 (= MX4100 US version) with excellent impressions in both cases. Quiet and powerful pumps.
We can admire its low profile in the water and the efficient water inlets on the sides.
If you want to learn more about the new Rossmont products, I recommend visiting their official website. We also invite you to read our Editorial about the fair to know our point of view about Interzoo and to discover a full list of the other booths that we have visited and commented on so far.
