Orphek just made its official Gen 3 light bars release announcement on Memorial Day and we are here to share the news about this 3 generation OR3 LED lighting source. The OR3 light bars are available in 3 lengths; 24″ (60 cm), 35″ (90 cm ) and 48″ (120 CM). Behind each newly designed lens is a high efficiency 5 watt dual-core LED driven at 50% of max power, for optimal lifespan and PAR performance. Running at 50% power the 5w Dual-Core LEDs run cooler with minimum loss to PAR numbers over the lifespan of the fixture. Also, Orphek states they have improved the lens on the new light bars but their site does not go into specifics on the new lens design but we noticed some subtile differences by AquaNerd | Jan 23, 2020 | Equipment
The Kamoer Peristaltic Dosing Pump has been updated for 2020 and is already in stock at authorized dealers in the US. The now retired FX-STP dosing pump has been aptly replaced by the FX-STP2 to kick off a new decade of reefing. Built specifically for aquarium applications, the Kamoer FX-STP2 WiFi Continuous-Duty Peristaltic Dosing Pump is designed for dosing up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Ion Director from GHL plans to begin shipping their automated water testing platform by the end of the 1st quarter of 2020. This is great news for GHL fans and those wishing to automate and control Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium and Nitrate parameters in their aquarium. The ION Director can be used alone or together with the GHL KH Director (KHD). Coupled with the KHD for Alkalinity monitoring and control, the IOND and KHD are the perfect tools for controlling your water parameters like never before. Each parameter can be measured and automatically controlled. If one or more parameters are too low or too high, the IOND can automatically determine how much of an adjustment of attached dosing pumps is needed to maintain stable parameters.
