Nope this is not a typo, The new PMUP ,Practical Multi Purpose Utility Pump, is Neptune Systems latest product announcement.  The PMUP is designed to interface with the Neptune Apex controllers as an Auto-Top Off pump, Calcium or Carbon reactor pump.  The maximum head pressure is 14 feet and the max GPH is 100 GPH. The Neptune site is states that it can be used with Biopellets. Larger Biopellet reactors require a much greater GPH, making this a new pump alternative for smaller reactors.  At a diminutive 4.58″ x 2.24″ size, this pump can fit nicely into most jug openings or ATO reservoirs. The PMUP can easily be connected in 2 fashions.  One option is to simply stretch silicon tubing over the intake side of the PMUP.  The by AquaNerd | May 5, 2016 | Corals, Equipment, Eye Candy, Fish, Reef, Science

Good news Apex users, Neptune Systems announced yesterday that their Apex Fusion platform is finally out of beta testing and is ready for prime time. The Apex Fusion is a cloud based system that lets you communicate with your Apex controller from anywhere in the world. Previously, all wireless communications were handled through apps and software loaded on your personal devices. Because the Apex used these various software versions, things like updates and firmware were occasionally an issue. With the Apex Fusion, however, all of the software is loaded on the Neptune Systems’ servers, which means you never have to download an app or update software. It will all be up to date with the most cutting edge software available, and it won’t tax any of your systems either. The Fusion platform works on nearly every device imaginable, including computers, tablets, and smartphones. Besides being a place to monitor water parameters, Apex Fusion also lets you control everything connected to your AquaController. Turn off lights, turn on pumps, do whatever it is that is important to you. by AquaNerd | Jan 17, 2014 | Science
A week removed from the news that the Apex Lite was being discontinued, Neptune Systems has announced that they would be packaging their popular Apex controller into a new gold bundle. This new gold package doesn’t include any new products that we haven’t seen before. Instead it is comprised of several popular items rolled into one pakage, providing more savings for hobbyists looking to purchase a controller with a few more accessories instead of having to piece things together over time. So what’s included in the Apex Gold Package? According to the Neptune Systems Facebook page, for the retail price of $799.95, controller happy hobbyists will get: Apex Base Unit Energy Bar 8 Apex Display Module Long-life Temperature Probe Lab Grade pH Probe Lab Grade ORP Probe PM2 – Salinity Module Lab Grade Conductivity (Salinity) Probe For those not entirely familiar with all of the Neptune Systems controllers and their accessoires, the previously most robust Apex Controller package was priced at $524.95 and included everything above except the Lab Grade ORP Probe, the PM2 Salinity Module, and the Lab Grade Conductivity Probe. Priced individually, these three add-ons total almost $283. This means hobbyists will enjoy approximately $10. Not a huge discount, but at this point in the game, any savings helps a ton. But the package goes beyond just the savings aspect. Where the highest level Apex bundle offered up just the basics, this package is one that many hobbyists are applauding because it contains all of the stuff they need and none of the stuff they don’t.
