This is the October 2020 update on the goings on at the Tidal Gardens coral farm. A lot of our tanks are leak testing and are getting closer and closer every day to full operation.

Installing Orphek Amazonas 960 Lights over the Peninsula Show Tank

http://www.tidalgardens.com In this video we are Installing Orphek Amazonas 960 Lights over the Peninsula Show Tank. I wanted to utilize more of the air space over the aquarium unlike the other tanks we have that hang the lighting closer to the water. We decided to go with a spotlight solution that hangs a little over 4' over the water and can still put out 1000 PAR at the bottom of the tank if we wanted. #tidalgardens #lighting #reeftank Photo/Video: Canon C200 Canon 5Ds R - https://amzn.to/33qklaf Canon 100mm Macro - https://amzn.to/33pbUvG Canon 100mm IS Macro L - https://amzn.to/3guFh3h Canon EF MP-E 65mm f/2.8 macro - https://amzn.to/3gz9HBO Camera Stabilization: Freefly Movi Phone Stabilizer - https://amzn.to/2DDrzwr Freefly Movi Pro Stabilizer - https://amzn.to/31oO7to Edelkrone SliderONE - https://amzn.to/39V8Ici Edelkrone HeadONE - https://amzn.to/2EQfu7X Audio: Shure SM7B - https://amzn.to/2DUQPP1 Sennheiser 416 - https://amzn.to/3ajHpIT Sennheiser AVX Lavalier - https://amzn.to/33Ud4iU Focusrite Scarlet 18i8 - https://amzn.to/30RkBx8 Cloudlifter CL-1 - https://amzn.to/2XY4En8 Copyright Information: This video was shot and edited by Tidal Gardens. August 2020 Coral Farm Update

We've made some decent progress so far on the coral farm but we are expecting a flurry of projects in the next 4-6 weeks. This is an update on some of the things we've implemented so far and a look ahead to what's coming next at Tidal Gardens.

Tidal Gardens SPS Show Tank! Episode 2 – Aquascape

Nitrile Work Gloves - https://amzn.to/3joUF31 GlueMasters Thin Super Glue - https://amzn.to/2WAfE9h StarBond Thin Super Glue - https://amzn.to/30sJJJk #tidalgardens #coral #reeftank I’m certain it is lost on no one that I’ve been procrastinating on this SPS show tank build. What we wanted to try was a technique I saw online where an aquascape could be made using super glue and sand. This guy was tossing sand or finely crushed rock powder in the gap between rocks and then using a little bit of liquid super glue to solidify it. By repeating this process it would build a strong bond between the two rocks. Using this method he created some really cool aquascapes. My first thought was that this would be a major pain but boy was I wrong. THIS IS AWESOME! Once we are happy building out the structures, I plan to soak them in RO for a few days and then introduce them into the show tanks. Hopefully the next time you see our setup here we will have the foundation of our SPS system all done!
