The corals on this list are ones I wish could be propagated at the coral farm. For one reason or another they are a challenge for aquaculture. by Tidal Gardens | Jul 26, 2020 | Tanks, Video

What we wanted to try was a technique I saw online where an aquascape could be made using super glue and sand. This guy was tossing sand or finely crushed rock powder in the gap between rocks and then using a little bit of liquid super glue to solidify it. By repeating this process it would build a strong bond between the two rocks. Using this method he created some really cool aquascapes. My first thought was that this would be a major pain but boy was I wrong. THIS IS AWESOME! Once we are happy building out the structures, I plan to soak them in RO for a few days and then introduce them into the show tanks. Hopefully the next time you see our setup here we will have the foundation of our SPS system all done! This video is all about a group of bottom dwellers affectionately called plate corals. The term “plate corals” refers to a collection of several different corals from the family Fungiidae. In the hobby the most commonly seen varieties are Fungia, Heliofungia, Diaseris, Cycloseris, and Lithophyllon. In all there are around 13 different genera that make up the family Fungiidae. 0:00 Introduction 3:05 Coral Placement 4:26 Substrate 5:20 Lighting 6:29 Water Flow 7:13 Water Chemistry 9:52 Plate Coral Feeding 11:40 Propagation 12:44 Conclusion #tidalgardens #corals #reefaquarium
