Teco at Interzoo 2024 with a Focus on Environmental Sustainability

by | Aug 28, 2024 | Events | 0 comments

Teco presented at Interzoo 2024 with the idea of thinking about the environment. For this reason, they built the booth made of cardboard, which is not only eco-friendly but also reusable.

For the first time since we’ve known Teco, we haven’t encountered any major new products. However, their focus on environmental sustainability, which started with the construction of their new headquarters a few years ago, now culminates in an important gesture that may seem simple: the construction of a stand made entirely of cardboard. Even the chairs! This allows for easy installation and, most importantly, simple recycling. It’s an idea that we really appreciated.

Before we continue, we’ll let you watch our video to get an idea of the Teco booth as we saw it with our own eyes. By clicking on the video, you’ll be taken directly to the section about Teco, and from there, you can choose to view different booths from those present at Interzoo using the links in the description.

Teco Chillers

As usual, the entire product range was on display. All have been converted to use the new R290 refrigerant, which impressed us so much during our review of the TK1000 a few years ago. We’ve now downsized our aquarium and have just received the small Teco TK 150 so we can test the little one with the new refrigerant. We can’t wait!

As you can see from the previous images, but especially from the next one, the stand is made entirely of cardboard. I apologize for emphasizing this point, but it seems so incredible to me and, if you think about it, so simple that I really like it.

And finally, a touch of class that’s never missing where Teco is involved: the Teco TK 1000, specially modified to chill limoncello (Italian liquor), which was, of course, available for tasting… cool and refreshing! As we mentioned in the video, the chiller isn’t designed to operate at such low temperatures, so don’t try this at home. This chiller was specially modified to maintain a temperature of 1.3 degrees Celsius.
