this a little of topic but does anybody know what kills these things? they seem to grow all over everything even on my stony corals
they also plugged up my overflow and my calcium reactor
i think there some type of tube worm
I think Copperband butterflies eat them, but they'll just grow back most likely. Over the past couple of decades I've just learned to live with them and appreciate the diversity.
Just scrape out your overflow once in a while. You should encourage things to grow in your tanks, not try and kill them off. Anybody that eats them will doubtless eat things you don't want them to as well.
Better yet, why don't you send me a rock with them on it? I haven't had those in a few years as they all got eaten in my tank. Don't know who ate them, but they're gone.
