ok the picture sucks but my olympus camera doesn't focus to well in my tank unless im really far back, this thing is a "tube?" for lack of a better term and is about 3/4 of an inch long and is kinda hairy, its mostly clear and is getting bigger. the end of the tube looks like it has a 3 pointed crown, now i don't know what is does, it don't seem to move or be to caring about its surroundings.
Did you check the FAQ ( see the thread at the top of this forum) It sounds from your description like something I ID'd last week, a Leucilla sponge.
