Hi,
I found this small dark seaslug on a piece of coral skeleton in my 20g nano. I captured the seaslug to a hang-on tray with the coral skeleton as in the picture. The slug is the dark fleshy thing in the middle. The slug has two antennae it uses to probe around ahead of it sometimes when its moving. It also has an lighter opening in its back which is why I thought it might be a slug instead of a nudibranch. Overall it is thin like a pancake, and smaller than a penny. Probably around the size of your pinky fingernail.
Any ideas? I'd hate to kill this little guy but I'm assuming it eats sponges since the 20g nano I foung him in has several nice sponges in it - a large orange tree sponge which I've had quite awhile, 2 chili 'corals' (nepthygorgia) I've had longer, and just recently a few ball sponges which he may have hitchiked in on. The only other corals are yellow polyps and red mushrooms.
Thanks for any input and/or detectivework
