i have a cluster all over my glass and powerheads which seems to resemble splattered white paint. they are shaped like perfect circles, and the centers seem to have a translucent yellowish glob inside. they are hard to scrape from the glass, it takes an effort to remove them. what are they? i am sure they are not copepods. i am at work right now with no access to my digital camera. will post pics as soon as i can. thanks for the help.

Do you have any Nerite snails? I have some, and thats exactly what their eggs look like.

Sorry, but I can see the stack of paper more clearly than the spots.

yeah, sorry about the stacks of paper, my tank is in my home office. got lots of paperwork going on, needed every inch of space. lol. i have some unidentified snails, 3 to be exact, unsure of their names. i will attempt to get a pic. i can't seem to focus on the spots, as the camera focuses through the glass to whats behind it. i tried the two pics with manual focus, not too familiar with it, though...

from a quick web search, it appears that i do have nerite snails. they just might be snail eggs. are they fertilized? what happens next if they are eggs?

Or this taken from the Hitchhiker FAQ :

On the glass of my tank, I can see small, white coils that are about 2mm across and have tiny hairs sticking out. What are these guys?

This is probably yet another tube-dwelling polychaete from the Family Spirorbidae. It is yet another harmless filter-feeder that is common in reef aquaria. It is common for these worms to inhabit areas of high water flow, including your tank's plumbing. They readily reproduce via sexual means and often spread throughout the tank, and can generally be considered a sign of a healthy maturing tank.
