I have a couple of snails that have a trunk like an elephant. Does anyone have any idea what they could be? They came on my Fiji live rock. Their shell is oblong and creme-colored with brown stripes.

Marginella plumiosum, the Glowing Marginella. 1/4-1/2 inch long. Found on sandy bottoms in the tropical West Atlantic; common in the Caribbean. White-cream shells with three faint yellowish bands.

The stripes look darker on mine. Fairly common as a hitchiker. IMO, one of the best scavengers of dead meat. If a snail or crab bites it in my tank, 10 or 15 of these little guys will pick the shell clean in a few hours. :)
