Hi,

I happened to notice this on my front glass yesterday night, i'd come down to go to the toilet and caught it in the dark, my partner said she'd seen somthing with a large red tongue eating or burrowing it's way through the liverock a few days ago, and finally i got a glimpse of it. I saw no red tongue, but she says the body is the same. When i saw it on the glass i thought originally it was one of my snails, as it had the same suction thing on the bottom, with the exception of this one's being a pinky red. The pics are the best i could get as i had to turn on the lights to photo it , and it promptly took off for the rocks. You can't see on the pics, but it has a snails head, with two red antenae. It also had two tubes on it's humped back, one front and one at tje back. These protruded from it's body. What you see here is a humped back, there's a small head at the front but it was hurrying off. I think it's some sort of slug, but i need to know if it's good or bad.

Well if it has a shell it definitely is a snail. Those tubes are characteristic of any marine snail, tho Ive never seen them exposed. Other than that I cant give you anything. :P

No shell at all.

Maybee a snail that's lost it's shell?

I only have 2 snails that size and as of the day before i've seen both of them with shells.

This is why i think it may be a slug. Sorry bout blurry pic's best i could do in the time i had. It ran for cover when the lights came on.
