Is it the same thing in the guide as the green sponge?

Are you asking about the large bubble and the other small bubble like items?
From that picture it's hard to tell but it looks quite a bit like a species of Valonia ( nuisance bubble algae ).

The large bubble below the spongy looking globule is just an air bubble that is usually not there.

The thing on my rock looks like this... http://www.reefs.org/hhfaq/pages/picture_pages/faq_porites.html but mine is white/transparent color and there is only one.

I have another picture that I took so I could have the little red spikes to the left identified in a later post. (I think I will do that now) .

Forgive my old eyes, I would say that would be a species of Porifera ( sponge ).

Thanks.
That's sort of what it looked like to me too.

With my crappy set up it probably won't live for very long.
In fact, I think it's already getting smaller.
