Hi,

It isn't possible to get a decent photo of what I'm trying to ID, but the drawing below is actually pretty close. There isn't much to these things. There are 10 or 15 of them on only 1 LR in my tank. They aren't in a high flow area.. nor are they under a lot of light. They kind of look furry on the outside. They are an off-white color.. the tops being a little more transparent. I'm not sure if the tops retract if touched or not. I guess I shoulda thought of that. They are stationary, and dont seem to be harming anything. Anyone have any ideas? oh.. they are no more that 1/2 inch tall at MOST. I'm thinking a sponge?

Thanks!
B.

Yup, Sycon sponges. I have bunches, they like to hide in dark areas. They don't harm a thing, actually a good thing - they clean your water.

From the drawing and discription I would say they are sponges or truncates. Both are filter feeders and a good sign.
