Arm or Worm?!

Ok.. I couldnt snap a good pic but here's the description. Last night, under my moon light, I noticed an "armlike" appendage reaching out from a hole in a rock. It never came all the way out... so I thing its part of somthing bigger.. duh... it looked like a worm, but I couldnt see any tenticles or the like on the end of it. The end of it was pale orange... and the rest of it was black colored. Is this just a star reaching out for a night time snack?

It might be a little brittle star. Just a thought. I have a few that hitched a ride in.

Probably a bristle worm. Some are good, some are bad. Just depends on who you ask...
