Hey everyone

I purchased this as a "umbrella polyp", which is the common name for Discosoma neglecta. However, i'm thinking its actually a Discosoma carlgreni "forked tentacle mushroom". Anyone know which it is?

Thanks :)

Well, one stays small and is fairly 'peaceful'. The other grows over 10" and will eat my shrimp. 8O

So, i want to know. But either way it is perdy!

Yeah i saw those before, and I'm leaning towards the carlgreni. Mine has those little 'tentacles' on the surface of the disk whereas the neglecta has them on the edges. Its just a little closer to the carlgreni.

It wouldnt be the first time the LFS has mis-ID'd something :D

Thanks
