• Why not take a moment to introduce yourself to our members?

About a year ago, my wife saw something in the tank, we couldn't find it againg until we took a peek about 10 minutes ago. Since we have been looking all over for an I.D.

I have a pic, rather bad, not much as far as visual details go.

About an inch long, maybe half inch wide, oval in shape, and is or looks segmented. I thought it might be some sort of egg sac (ever seen a preying mantis egg sac?) until it moved, the light scared it off. It moves slow like a snail and does not have any sort of eye stalks or antenna, nor legs that we could find.

He looks almost armored like a pillbug but I can't really tell if it has a hard shell or just looks that way, and it blends well into the rock. Greyish colored. Haven't lost any corals or snails or fish, but a real mystery to be sure.[/img]

What you're desscribing is a Chiton, though your picture doesn't look like one. Does this look like what you have?
