I found this blob on my sand this evening. I have no idea what it can be. It seems like some sort of eggs in an enclosure. It's soft (waves in the water) and small (1/4"). It stays directly on the sand...

Thanks,
Mihai

Mihai, I haven't a clue, but it does sorta look like an upsidedown jelly. I'm probably wrong tho

I don't know what it is, but I am interested in hearing what it becomes. 8O

You know what? I have an upside down jelly in the upstream refugium!
Do you think it had babies? All by itself? And only one?

Nope, it's the head of a (large) bristle worm.

You do get some of the odd ones Mihai

I got the normal ones too, I just exhaused them and got to the interesting ones :).

Today it got covered a bit in some stuff, I wonder if I should clean it up (I'm a bit worried I'll mess it up).

All the best,
M.

Kind of looks like an egg ball from a snail. I'm just guessing. When I kept FW the snails use to lay eggs that looked just like that.

I'm not sure what it was but it's gone. It either hatched or it was eaten. I didn't notice lots of little somethings in the tank (although they may be planktonic or hide during the day). I'll post if I'll suddently see lots of little somethings.
