mutant macroalgae invasion?

Is this even macro, or something else? The pic was taken under just actinics, which makes it look a little greener than it does under MH. It's growing FAST, has already spawned another colony a few inches away - and is making me a little nervous. Is this a pest that needs nuking, or am I growing something desirable here?

It is probably nothing bad and it does look pretty. Check out this site

to see if you can identify it. I have something similar but red. If it grows to large just pinch it near the base.

Branching bubble algae. Its a nusaince algae. Its filled with spores sowhen you remove it be VERY carfull or you will spread it through out your tank.
