Hi , I was wondering if anyone knows what this hitchhiker is. I found it piggy-back on one of my mexican turbo snail's shells. At first I thought it was part of the shell until I saw it moving. I'd like to know what it is so I can determine if its safe to put back into my setup.

The underside picture came out blurry, sorry.

Impossible to give you a Family, Genus and Species ID with that picture. It looks to be a member of the Class: Polyplacophora (Chiton). Most are harmless herbivores but some are omnivores feeding on other chitons, tunicates, sponges, small crustaceans and worms.
