The pic isn't that great but the best I can do.

I've had three of these turn up since yesterday. I'm thinking they came in on my Xenia. Spent two hours on seaslugforums but couldn't get a perfect match.

Is it a predator that needs to be removed?

The picture isn't the best but I would say it's Phyllodesmium crypticum or a species of Phyllodesmium. They prey specifically on Xenias so yes they are a pest.

I wonder why these little guys left the Xenia. They moved to the opposite side of the tank, very near the surface.


EDIT: I guess I should remove them if I can? Do they eat much? :D

Many types of Nudibranches have a habit of moving towards the surface of the water and then later returning to the corals to feed on.
