I know I can't get a decent pic of this guy... I had thought it was just a shell.. but this morning he is open and has his little feeder thingies extended (don't you love my technical terms?)

he was all white.. but appears to be turning tan in a few places.. and he is about the size of a dime... I found him on a piece of my Fiji rock (I also have carribean rock.. but seems to me the shell was on the uncured fiji when i got it...)

Any ideas as to what kind of scallop he is?.. and what do I feed the little guy?

btw,.. I don't have any fish in the tank yet... so there wouldn't be any fish food floating around... though I do have some pods...

Theres so many bivalves out there we would have to get a pic. But most to all bivalves LOVE and MUST have phytoplankton. Its only like ten bucks for a bottle.

well.. I get the feeling he is just a common scallop.. (assuming they are white).. either that or he hasn't had much exposure to light.. do they bleach like anemones do?

But thanks on an idea of what to feed him! I have a half bottle of that (Kent PhytoPlex) that was given to me..

Thanks again!
