This is the first time I've seen this creature. Pictures will maybe follow tomorrow if I can catch one.

Been noticing what I think is tube like feces(about 1mm x 1.5cm) in two areas of the tank. They are sand colored/marlbled with most having a white end.

There is a hole under one piece of live rock that I've been keeping my eye on. This morning I snuck up on the tank :D and flipped the light on with my eyes fixed on where the hole under the LR will appear.

A cylindrical, pink shaft with a black, round tip(eye?) was sticking out from under the LR. It was sticking out about 2-3 inches and quickly retracted to about an inch. The black, round tip then sunk into the tube/shaft and the tube/shaft rectracted under the rock. All happened within about 5 seconds.

The tube/shaft looked to be uniform in diameter(about 3mm) with the tip slightly larger.

Thanks!

Sounds like it might be of the Phylum: Sipunculida (commonly called peanut worms) harmeless detrivores.
