First of all sorry for the lack of pics I am working on that. I have some critters that seem to be star shaped but mostly look like a brown and white striped tenticles coming out of my LR I have looked everywhere for pics but haven't seen anything close to these guys.

Chances are, though, that they're harmless.

the owner of my LFS was right on. They are bristle stars i'm still trying to figure out how to size images down so i can post on the page

Google Irfanview, it's a free photo manipulation proggie. Once installed, ctrl + r gives you the resize/resampling screen. Resize to about 300x400 (600x400 is the biggest I'd go) pixels. Save it to your desktop or anywhere else you'll remember (can't get it to attach it if you can't remember where you put it, right?), then attach the file.

Are you thinking brittle stars, maybe?

Google pics of Amphiuridae and see if those match, they are a type of small brittle star that lives most all of its life concealed with only arms visible. Also possibly might be something like a Terebellid polychaete worm?
