I have one and right next to it an aiptasia
So I did the Kalk paste and killed it
And ever since that night the leather has never opened again
It's been three days
And today I found a small whole on top of the leather

Most likely a drop of the paste felt on top of it and burned it
My question now is
Will it recover and reheal itself?

It will likely shed soon and then open back up to it's usual self. Leathers are very resilient.

Put a power head on it when they get stressed the get wax film on them, thenpower head will help it. Mine gets like that when I frag it, few days with flow on it they pop right back.

The leather is still closed
I'm worried that one of these days it just starts dying
I noticed that for the past two or three days all my leathers are closed aswell

As long as your levels are in check, I honestly think they will shed soon and you'll be back in business. My finger leather closed for week and came back bigger and better than ever.

Mine have looked worse and actually started growing algae on them. Thought they were goners. As long as you don't see tissue disintegrating, i think you're fine.
