Hi guys

I was going to start using a two part B Ionic solution, as it seems the best looking SPS tanks use this. What brand is the best, or what location is a good deal for a bionic 2 part?

Thanks!

i've used B-ionic and Russ is right, it is the best 2-part on the market. the only reason i stopped using it because it is costly on larger tanks.

I have used other 2 part supplements But I think that B-ionic is more potent and effective. other products such as two little fishies C balance, and DIY KITS seems to be kinda on the week side compared to ESV B-ionic
if you have a larger system a calcium reactor is a good investment.(just a large amount of money needed to start it up) IMO B-Ionic may be costly over a period of time compared to calcium reactor.

I had the bionic but my local store ran out. And i started using diy. I just ordered the C balance so well see how that works. I was also having a problem with high PH and low alk so well see if i can get a good balance from the c balance. Next step will be back to a DIY kit from bulkreef

use regular chemicals to get the levels correct then use c balance to maintain that level. otherwise you'll run out of one part before the other part when you try to compensate to get it right.

Hello,
(First post)
I run a small coral farm here in the Florida Keys, and We ONLY use B-Ionic.

Bob and Richard, (ESV) have been making me this 20 gallon concentration since the 90's;
It arrives in two 5 gallon buckets,.. you simply add one 5 gallon bucket of R.O. to each, making 10 gallons of each component, I find this relatively inexpensive,..much cheaper than buying the gallon containers!,..if you guys who are talking about larger systems have never tried this,..you should.
They have made it available to the general public in the past few years I think?,..and if they haven'y just ask them,..ESV is a great company that creates THE BEST product for + Alka ballance.(IMO/IME).

Agreed - while we use a reeactor on our SPS prop system to maintain stability, we boost our growth rates and cycles of harvest by using B-Ionic in the system.

I have been usiing it since 2000 and swear by this stuff. We also, use the larger containers which saves you about $40 for the 10g total than if you buy it 2g at a time.

I have tried DIY 2 parts and nothing compares - this is my experience.
