just wondering i started a 90 gallon with fish,live rockn corals i have some poly leather annemone is it neccessary 2 use a uv sterilizer can any1 help me thanks

By far must do without them. They do not do anything for water born parasites, as they are not powerful enough. They do work great for the rare occurrence of green water, which is form of micro-algae. All of them only yield a dosage rate of a few thousand micro-watts sec/cm^2. To do much of anything you need 2-3 of them run in series or parallel so the dosage is in the 10's of 1000's micro-watts sec/cm^2. Std UV will kill many free swimming bacteria. In short, if you have money to spend get one, if not do without one.
