wat r da best test kits 4 testing everything n my reef tank? i have a master kit 4 ph nitrate nitrite ammonina 1 4 calcium n 1 4 phosphate the name brand is api r they any good or should i get something better im on a budget so i need something good but thats not gonna break my pocket

the api aren't bad to start with but not really accurate. ether the salifert or the elos kits are good.

thanks rambler, when testing 4 magnesium n alkanity wat should da readings be 4 both

It all depends on what you have in the tank magnesium in between 1200 and 1300 and alkalinity 7-12dkh

I used to buy nothing but salifert until I noticed they go way off sometimes too, I stopped caring for exact immaculate numbers a ballpark number is good enough for me matter of a fact it's been a few months since I've even tested but I don't recommend you do that until you really know your tank once you do it's like clockwork.

Many Copper kits have a habit Lat for getting off after time due to reagent deterioration.
