Is there any equipment out there like the Hanna Checkers but for other tests. Specifically Ammonia and Nitrates.

My problem is that I have problems with some colors (vision), and determining where I am on the color scale gives me problems sometimes. I usually have to wait for my wife to be around to have her look at the colors.

I want the tests to be accurate also (well as accurate as they can be)

Ayyyy Thing 1 I don't blame you when it comes to color vision I'm the same way at times thou. For a minute I thought I was the only here on MR that couldn't see colors the right way. Thank god I'm not the only one in the forum it feels good to know there is some one else that has the same problem like me

The red sea isnt all that you still use a color wheel

And that color wheel sucks. Color wheels are not new but have been out for over 20 years, invented by HACH, such as the one below which is a full color wheel.

And if you have lots of money to spend there are these.

Our only help as far a cost and good/fair accuracy is Hanna if they get their act together. So far, it is only the PO4 meter and the rest are a mess.

Try the Hanna Checkers
Phosphate, Alkalinity, Calcium, Nitrite and PH
each one is $50, but I think its worth if you compare it to the test kits and what they charge. Easier, faster and more accurate. Im still waiting for the rest of the checkers to come out in to production.

From what I hear they are not that accurate you also have to keep calibrating them and buy the regents to do the test. Also Anthony 2 things..#1 grandma told you doing that would make you go blind! It's not a myth LMAO 2nd as far as christmass maybe Joe gets you that and you get him a tank? LOL

I does not have temp on it, it is not temp compensated for and has a crappy Accuracy +/- 0.2 pH. The one on the bottom is fine with an accuracy of +/- 0.05 pH and is temp compensated for.
