Seeding a 125g

Hey guys, want sure if I was in the right forum but since this is something few have experimented here's my question.

Will a running 30g (about 6 months) with emperor hob &, 30lbs of love rock be enough to seed a cycling 125 to even cut considerable time off the cycle time? or is it not enough?

This is what I've done so far, do weekly water changes of 10g on my 30g tank and dump the used water into the 125, everything read 0 by the way. RO water of course. I did this 2 times, and everything is still reading 0 on the 125 after 2 weeks.

There is not enough bacteria in the water column to actually seed IMO. Take some rock out of the 30 and put into the new tank... or just throw a raw shrimp in and let the cycle work on its own.

Thirty is correct, there is actually ~ 10x more bacteria in a fresh salt mix than a tank's column water.
