switched to esv salt

got rid of the reef crystal and went ESV, now all my parameters are fine without the need of buffers. This salt will actually save me money in the long run. I also never had 0 phosphates. Getting GFO in tomorrow, and probably wont even need it. I feed my corals daily ans still been having no issues while i had .25 phosphates prior to switching

I just did the switched as well. Did my first water change with ESV salt yesterday.

well aware of it. Anyone else notice the magnesium by weight is terribly off, or is my red sea test kit messed up

I like better Salifert for MG.

If you have a lot of corals you still need to use some type of supplement for cal,mag and alk. There are many salt brands with parameters after mix as esv. I used it for a few months and got tired of it and switched to Red Sea. And if you don't have many corals keep a close eye on your calcium
